To the OP, if you're gonna slab and do gravel roads, without alot of first gear hill climbing, I'd get a KLR and go one up on the front sprocket Should cruise 70 without a problem

To answer the question about why not a couple of more weeks: the 250 chain is now at the end of its life and that bike isn't big enough for hill climbing at 55mph I have to go home from Corvallis to Astoria this weekend, then back the same day (6 hours total)

In the gym 4 days a week 50min cardio+30min weights Except for last week, I also mountainbike 4hrs week minimum (lots of hill climbing) Flabby novices watch out! I also take a combination of supplements which boost my strength and endurance 8x over my normal pace w o fucking up my liver, kidneys, hormones, or blood pressure

I watched an ambulance crew drag a broken rider, still in full riding hear, up a hill and his neck was obviously broken and they weren't in a hurry I think we all get that there is risk
