- Redfin 1% listing fee -- what is the catch??? - Reddit
Redfin agents are on payroll That’s nice for new agents because they don’t have to go looking for deals The strategy is entirely different People go to Redfin to work with the organization get the benefits of the organization, rather than working with a single real estate agent
- My experience working with Redfin and a traditional broker to sell
I've had a few friends work with Redfin agents and had positive experiences, but it really depends on how good your agent is If your Redfin agent hardly does any sales in the region, then obviously it'll be bad I've seen some agents be super hyperfocused on areas on Redfin just like a traditional agent
- Zillow Redfin etc. . From your experience, how accurate are the . . . - Reddit
Zillow and Redfin simply don't have access to as much information about the house as an appraiser will If Redfin keeps dropping that probably means very similar houses are being sold over the past week or two for less than they were before in your area, so I would take that number a bit more seriously than Zillow
- Looking to buy a home but dont know what site to use Redfin . . . - Reddit
They have incentive to do a good job, but it will never be as much incentive as someone who has to rely on happy clients for 100% of their earnings I know Redfin agents (or former Redfin agents) so I know they are overworked and aren’t paid what they deserve $12K year is ridiculous for anyone working more than maybe 1 day a week
- Is Redfins estimate totally worthless? : r RealEstate - Reddit
Not worthless, but it indexes on what the seller lists it for because the seller knows more about the house than Redfin For example the higher price could be because significant renovations are done However after a house is sold I find Redfin estimate to be accurate within 1 year of sale because it uses comps to adjust the house value
- Redfin to sell my home : r RealEstate - Reddit
I used Redfin to both buy and sell my home It was a bit hit or miss in the beginning but I ended up specifying the specific Redfin agent I wanted and used her each time I'd say that your amount of diligence in finding the right agent is the same as if you were going through a regular brokerage and there are both good and bad agents at Redfin
- Redfin? : r realtors - Reddit
Redfin definitely isn’t perfect, it still has that start-up mentality and is constantly changing things and refining processes, but I respect our leadership (our CEO Glenn Kelman is one of my favorite people on this planet) and I feel like at the end of the day we’re always going in a good direction
- Is there a way to view images off the previous listing on Zillow . . .
Thank you! I know this comment is 3 years old but I was looking up a photo of our old house for my son's baby book, and the photo the company took when we were selling was awful The photos from when we bought the house were much better and on Redfin right where you said :)
- Has anyone used Redfin to sell their home? : r RealEstate - Reddit
Redfin has a lot of resources to throw at you so the process has gone smooth Staging, photos, etc are all part of the package You don't need to worry about one person coordinating everything, it's all part of a bigger machine and you have an online dashboard to schedule things and see status
- Is Redfin too good to be true? : r homeowners - Reddit
Redfin tells realtors "I'll give you several times the number of houses that you're getting right now, but you have to accept that the per-house commission is going to drop You'll make a lot more in the end but you'll have to sell more houses " Often realtors work both on and off Redfin and charge 50% of their regular rate for leads from there
