If there are mono amps of which you can afford four, you can bi-amp with mono blocks But not all speakers benefit from bi-amping, which has more to do with the speaker's crossover than the amps And not all speakers CAN be bi-amped

The Halo JC1+ mono-blocks cost $8,495 each which at $17,000 for the pair puts them out of my price range The Halo JC1 (no +) is an older and inferior to the Plus and still cost $5000 used It does spec much better The Bryston 4B3 in contrast MSRP is $5695, almost double the Halo A21+ ; about 1 3 the MSRP of Halo JC1+
- Ming Da MC-3008-A2 Mono Blocks - Audiogon Discussion Forum
Can anyone comment on the sound and quality of the Ming Da MC-3008-A2 Mono Blocks from Pacific Valve? I can't find any reviews The tube topology is (2)12AX7, (2)12AU7, (2)300B, (2)805 tubes I am also curious, how would it compare to the Ming Da 845 amp? I am going to run it as a integrated amp with a Cambridge Audio CDP 640v2
