- Proper YETI cooler usage - Fishing Tackle - Bass Fishing Forums
I have 3 YETI coolers so I have drank the juice You need to pre-cool it first I would do this with dry ice and then either put a membrane of some sort on the dry ice and start with your layering method or toss the dry ice and start with ice on the bottom and then start your layering
- How do you guys secure your Yeti coolers, in the bed of your Tacos?
A yeti has to be pre-cooled if you really want it to work Otherwise the insulated walls will dump a lot of heat into the ice just cooling it down It's not ideal for short trips, but for longer trips it's worth killing half a bag of ice to prep it before the trip Of cours The big benefit of a yeti is that it's built like a tank

After going through numerous Coleman and Igloo coolers, I finally purchased a Yeti Tundra 65 quart I have wanted one for a few years but couldn't talk myself into sinking that kind of cash into a cooler I had the handle break off my week old Igloo Marine cooler yesterday and finally said screw it
- Yeti in the bed? - Tacoma World
Height might be your main concern I actually had to sell my Pelican 65 in favour of the shorter Yeti 65 I have a 2nd gen with an OEM bedmat and a BAKflip tonneau cover The Yeti 65 is the largest I can fit, with only ~ 5" of room to spare Not sure a 75 would fit with certain combos on tonneau bedmats

Yeti coolers are made in the USA and in the phillipines so they are not made in China I agree that they are expensive but has already been stated, they are the strongest coolers out there and they flat out work They are also rotomolded like kayaks are so they are inherently stronger than your standard coolers

And being in a college town, that yeti HAS to be locked up The main difference I did from the other guys that used chains was went and bought an L shaped peice of iron from Lowe's, probably 2 inches on either length, and took an angle grinder to it to mimic Yeti's little bracket they sell with the python cable lock
- Dometic or Yeti Cooler - Tacoma World
I run a small 18L Dometic off of a 33aH Goal Zero Yeti 400 chained with a second 33ah battery Two solar panels, one 100w fixed and one 80W portable Fridge and Goal Zero ride in the back seat while on the move, get moved to the camper when I'm parked for the night
- Kayak Coolers? - Bass Boats, Canoes, Kayaks and more - Bass Fishing Forums
Started looking into Yeti and the other similar style coolers, maybe anywhere from 20-25 quart size or so just to tuck in the very back of the kayak The more I think of it the more it seems to be pretty overkill, when those little coolers weigh anywhere from 16 to 25 lbs empty, then figuring ice packs and whatever drinks food you put in you're
- Coolers, ice chests, etc. | Sailboat Owners Forums
In warm weather, without mechanical refrigeration, on a one, two or three day cruise, store bought coolers don't cut it - unless of course you pack more ice - than provisions The problem is not simply the ratio of provisions vs ice It is the R-factor of the cooler! Most coolers have 1 2" to 1-1 4" wall thickness
