I assume the text file has the NetBIOS names of the computers One solution would be to pipe the file at a command prompt to the dsquery computer utility (to get the DN, which shows where it resides in AD) and then to dsget computer (to get the description) For example: type computers txt | dsquery computer | dsget computer -dn -desc
