For anyone who is interested, the new gun bill has imported the definition of LEOSA into section 131M, so that the exemption formerly provided in Massachusetts for possession by law enforcement officers of large capacity capacity feeding devices and assault-style firearms now applies only to LEOSA qualified active and retired officers

As for LEOSA, that needs some serious work, Hopefully it's fixed by the time I retire haha because the LEOSA qualifications each year and it's failure to address magazine capacity in clear language is going to be a nightmare if I carry out of state as a retired PO

Under LEOSA the person needs to be authorized to carry a firearm and if that cant happen until you are 21 you cant benefit from LEOSA until then The issue of the the constable position being eligible for LEOSA is a different issue
