My brother owned the Blue Bandit Gto for a short time in the early 70's He sold it to a Pontiac collector who at the time was around Olney Illinois He found the car again a year or two ago It is in a building in Texas , but the guy wouldn't price it He said Don Gay had tried to buy it back before he died

That is the Blue Thunder 4v dp intake they are a dealer Not a bad intake, but the Stealth is easier to obtain I would not expect to see an incredible difference between the Stealth the dual 4 bbl , unless the carburetors on the 2x4 are not tuned effectively

I actually talked with the guys brother today that owns the Blue Bandit GTO funny car, it is in a garage in Texas, the guy won't allow anyone to see it, but his brother said the guy is getting ready to retire and is going to restore it and nostagia race it he said it is exactly the way it was when his brother bought it from mine but it was weathered

Some folks say that all of the old 6s are blue flame, others say it started with the 1937 engine (which had the first of the funky combustion chamber design), others say it started with the 53 Vette, which specifically called the engine the Blue Flame 6

The 2nd time I painted it, both the blue and the white were oil based paint, and I sprayed both with a cheap HF gun The shine lasted longer after being sprayed The oil based paint (without the hardener) was good for 3-4 years before it looks really old

The plating appears to be in good condition but it's turned blue I've had limited sucess with a product called "Blue-away" purchased at the local Harley shop on some plated exhaust manifolds but it took a ton of rubbing and only about 50 #37; of the bluing came out Plus, it was obviously abrasive with some kinda grit in it

The original emblem was busy and bore the entire “Ford Motor Co Detroit, Mich” wording in an amorphously shaped black-and-white background The script, which has stood the test of time, was penned by Ford Chief Engineer Childe Harold Wills in 1909 The Blue Oval was added nearly two decades later, making the badge what it is today

I like candy red over gold and midnight blue But both were available and in use in the period of car that I like I also like black real well but it is hardtop get a car black prepped and I am a lazy bastard Anyway if you are shooting for a specific period of car your paint choices are like you parts, limited to the period
