- Bitwarden usage process - Bogleheads. org
My assessment: Bitwarden is a reasonable choice but is not quite as convenient as Lastpass Bitwarden uses the concept of timing out to close out it's access to the password database I find this inconvenient I would like Bitwarden to close its access to the database, not based on timeout, but based on my usage
- iOS 18 Passwords App: All the New Features | MacRumors Forums
Closest I can think of is some of the free alternatives like Bitwarden or whatever it's called Could use those for that data since syncing between your devices isn't _as_ important for that data, so if it's slightly more hassle to sync, it's not a big deal
- 1Password to BitWarden. . . . worth it? - Bogleheads. org
Technically, Bitwarden is not open source but open core, but the important bit is that anyone can see the source code Being able to see the source code means Bitwarden is basically saying that even if you know the source code, you cannot hack the product I feel that both 1password and bitwarden is about equally secure
- Anyone having issue logging into Wells Fargo - Bogleheads. org
As for password fields, Wells Fargo appears to work with Bitwarden, but many sites often use non-standard login fields It's even worse on the Android phones In the past, Wells Fargo changes the address to their login in screen every so often
- Bitwarden desktop not working or responding Win 11
Bitwarden works fine for me in windows 11 Also, there’s some confusion on this thread about backups, losing files, etc To be clear, Bitwarden is a cloud based password manager Doesn’t matter if one installation stopped working or even if the whole computer stopped working
- iCloud Keychain vs 1Password | MacRumors Forums
Enpass and Bitwarden not as smooth as 1Password but works fine for me Password manager do more than Apple keychain (I also use them too) like add far more extra info like security questions and answers (some websites still use them!!) and some have multiple login like banking use ID and email and some code as well so keychain can’t save all
- Bitwarden Not Working This Morning - Bogleheads. org
I use the Microsoft Edge browser and the Bitwarden extension which has been working just fine This morning Bitwarden won't autofill and constantly wants me to repeatedly log in with my master password It worked fine yesterday but this morning it's broken Bitwarden seems to work fine with Chrome which is nice to know
- VG rejects password, Edge Brave, accepts Firefox
As for BitWarden, for decades now we have lived in a miserable world of bad software engineering, where whatever reliability there is has been "tested in" through SQA, and SQA only tests the most mainstream configurations Many seemingly handy add-ons, even when implemented as browser extensions, were never tested and have glitches
